Copdock near Ipswich will host a final of a National Counties competition for the first time next year.

The Old London Road ground, home of the Copdock & Old Ipswichian club, has been a regular venue for Suffolk for more than 30 years and has now been chosen to host the final of the 50-overs National Counties Trophy on Sunday July 19.

Richard Logan said: "The Finals are always the highlight of the NCCA year. The Championship Final will return to West Bromwich Dartmouth for the last time, having spent a number of successful years there."

"I’m really looking forward to working with Copdock. We have some exciting plans for the One Day Final. Martin and the team there have been great, and I’m sure this will be a huge success."

"Moving the T20 Final to Wormsley for 2025 really made the most of what is arguably the best cricket ground outside of the First Class network, and I can’t wait to return in 2026."

The Trophy will be the first final of the three National Counties competitions with Wormsley again the venue for the Dojo National Counties T20 Finals Day on Sunday August 30 with the four-day final of the NCCA Cluberly Championship at West Bromwich Dartmouth from Sunday September 6 to Wednesday September 9.

It will be the 14th consecutive season – with the exception of 2020 when all National Counties cricket was abandoned due to the Covid pandemic – that a National Counties final has been played at Wormsley, the stunning private ground of the late Si Paul Getty on the Buckinghamshire/Oxfordshire border.

The Championship final will return to West Bromwich for a fifth year running with the easy access to the Sandwell Park ground from the motorway network and the excellent organisation of the Birmingham League club making it a popular venue.

Dorset (Trophy), Norfolk (T20) and Buckinghamshire (Championship) will start next season as defending champions in the respective competitions.
