The NCCA annual Player ID Day took place on Friday 3rd March at the ECB National Performance Centre in Loughborough. Player ID Days have been created to give the first-class counties an opportunity to come along and witness some of the top talent from across the NCCA county sides.
The NCCA were joined by representatives from 7 first-class counties: Leicestershire CCC, Essex CCC, Yorkshire CCC, Middlesex CCC, Northants CCC, Glamorgan CCC and Durham CCC.
Not only is this a fantastic opportunity for the NCCA players to train at a world-leading facility, but it is also a great initiative that supports the talent pathway into the first-class game.
A county scout commented “A brilliant initiative to get a group of players all together in one place to showcase their skills in front of first-class county coaches”.
Players were nominated from each of the 20 National Counties Cricket sides, leading to a number of promising young players taking part in this experience.
