Seven members of last year’s triumphant squad will return to Spain for the National Counties XI’s defence of the Dream 11 European Cricket Network T10 Championship next month.
National Counties, who are again representing England in the multi-nation tournament at the Cartama Oval near Malaga, beat Belgium by ten wickets in last year’s final.
As defending champions, National Counties will enter this season’s competition in the Championship Week which starts on October 10 with the final on October 14.
Dan Lincoln, who captained Berkshire to a National Counties Championship and Trophy double this season, will again lead the side in Spain with Arthur Godsal, Harrison Ward, Tom Bevan, Alex Russell, Sam Pearce and Andy Rishton also returning with him.
Lincoln (Middlesex and Kent), Tom Bevan (Glamorgan), Ward (Sussex), Eliot Callis (Yorkshire), Pearce (Glamorgan) and Alex Russell (Northamptonshire) all bring recent experience with first-class counties to the squad.
National Counties will again be coached by Tom Lambert who has guided Berkshire to ten National Counties competition titles in six seasons.
The early rounds of this year’s Dream 11 European Cricket Network T10 Championship began at the Cartama Oval on September 10.
Hosts Spain beat Ireland by six wickets in the Group A final to progress to Championship Week.
