Matthew Scott made his senior NCCA debut for Northumberland in 2018 aged just 16. The right arm seam bowler has been a part of the county’s Emerging Player Programme and has excelled in age group cricket. Now 18 and a regular for 1stX1 club side Tynedale CC, he has made huge strides in the past year. Involvement with Durham academy has supported his development, and once NCCA senior cricket resumes he will hopefully be involved in all formats for Northumberland’s senior teams.
Rory Hanley started with Northumberland at the age of 11 and has not looked back. The right arm seam bowler starred throughout the age groups, before becoming a part of the Durham academy. The 20-year-old represented Scotland U19 at the World Cup in January 2019, playing against West Indies, Sri Lanka and Pakistan U19s amongst other international sides. He will hopefully be a key player for the NCCA senior side across all formats in 2021, as well as looking for more opportunities to play for Durham 2ndX1.
